Job Purpose

The primary purpose of the Attendant role is to support the operation of downstream packaging and production equipment within the Powder Tower Factory. The successful candidate will ensure smooth production flow, maintain high safety and quality standards, and contribute to overall plant efficiency in a fast-paced FMCG production environment.

This role is critical to maintaining Clover’s reputation for consistent product quality and adherence to strict food safety and manufacturing standards.


Key Duties and Responsibilities

Production Equipment Operation

  • Prepare, start up, monitor, maintain, and safely shut down packaging equipment within the authorised scope
  • Ensure continuous and efficient operation of downstream production processes
  • Monitor critical production parameters and take corrective action where required

Quality Control and Monitoring

  • Sample and test packaging quality to ensure compliance with Clover standards
  • Capture and maintain accurate production data using control sheets
  • Identify deviations and assist in resolving production and quality issues

Maintenance Support

  • Prepare work areas for planned and unplanned maintenance activities
  • Reinstate equipment and work areas after maintenance completion
  • Issue job cards for non-scheduled maintenance requirements
  • Complete daily and weekly production and maintenance schedules

Safety, Health, and Environmental Compliance

  • Maintain strict adherence to safety, health, and environmental regulations
  • Ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) at all times
  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness in downstream plant areas
  • Work safely at all times and promote a strong safety culture

Operational Efficiency

  • Support energy-saving initiatives and efficient resource usage
  • Contribute to continuous improvement within the production environment
  • Work shifts, weekends, and public holidays as operationally required

Minimum Requirements

To be considered for this permanent Clover production role, candidates must meet the following criteria:

  • Grade 12 / National Senior Certificate (NQF Level 4)
  • Successful completion of a diagnostic competency assessment
  • Fluent in Business English
  • 2–5 years’ relevant experience in FMCG or food production environments
  • Proven experience applying job-related production concepts, techniques, and processes
  • Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays
