Job Overview

The Operations Supervisor plays a critical role in coordinating daily warehouse and logistics activities. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising staff, managing stock movement, ensuring compliance with safety standards, and maintaining operational efficiency.

Minimum Requirements

Applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Diploma or Advanced Certificate in Logistics / Transport Management
  • Minimum of 7 years’ experience in a supervisory role
  • At least 2 years’ experience in a senior supervisory position within transport or warehouse operations
  • Valid Code EB driver’s license (Code EC advantageous)
  • Advanced computer literacy, especially in Microsoft Excel
  • Knowledge of NBCRFI Main Agreement
  • SHEQ (Safety, Health, Environment & Quality) experience in the transport industry
  • Understanding of warehouse economics and financial management

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing operations across multiple areas:

Operational Management

  • Supervise daily warehouse and logistics activities
  • Manage stock allocation, movement, and control
  • Oversee stock picking, packaging, and storage processes
  • Ensure accurate recording of all stock movements

Team Leadership

  • Brief and debrief operational staff
  • Supervise and motivate employees to achieve targets
  • Monitor staff performance and address misconduct
  • Control staff wages and overtime

Compliance and SHEQ

  • Conduct SHEQ activities including toolbox talks and inspections
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety policies
  • Enforce adherence to NBCRFI Main Agreement
