Minimum Requirements

  • Grade 12 / Senior Certificate
  • 0–6 months’ experience
  • Basic computer literacy
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

Key Duties and Responsibilities

The UI Claims Officer will be responsible for:

  • Receiving and assessing UIF claims using relevant systems in line with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
  • Registering employers and verifying employee declarations according to prescribed regulations
  • Processing and executing payments of approved claims within established timeframes
  • Attending to enquiries relating to processed claims and other UIF-related matters
  • Performing administrative and record-keeping duties within the section

This role requires attention to detail, confidentiality, compliance awareness, and the ability to work with government systems accurately and efficiently.
