About the General Worker Job Opportunity Role
The General Worker role is central to the smooth operation of the SSK Seed Department. You will be actively involved in maintaining the efficiency of the Seed Store while also assisting in other areas of the business when required. This is a hands-on position that requires physical endurance, attention to detail, and a strong sense of responsibility.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure the effective day-to-day functioning of the Seed Store.
- Load, offload, and handle stock safely and efficiently.
- Uphold housekeeping standards and ensure a clean, organised, and hazard-free workplace.
- Follow safety protocols and carry out instructions with accuracy and diligence.
- Assist in maintaining stock records and contribute to operational efficiency.
Minimum Requirements
- A Matric (Grade 12) qualification.
- Good mental and physical health, with the ability to lift and carry heavy items.
- A proven ability to follow instructions carefully and consistently.
- A safety-conscious mindset, with an understanding of workplace health and safety requirements.
- Reliability, punctuality, and the capacity to work effectively in a team.
- A Code EB (Code 8) driver’s license will be considered a strong advantage.
