Salary and Location

The position offers a competitive annual salary of R1 216 824, which includes an all-inclusive salary package. The successful candidate will be based in Pretoria, where they will oversee air quality management services at a national level.

Minimum Requirements for the Position

Applicants must hold an undergraduate qualification in Natural Sciences, Physical Sciences, Environmental Development Planning, or a related field. The qualification must be recognized at an NQF Level 7 by SAQA. A minimum of five years of experience at a middle or senior managerial level within the related field is required. The successful candidate must have completed the Senior Management Pre-entry Programme, as endorsed by the National School of Government (NSG).

Knowledge and Expertise Required

Candidates must demonstrate extensive knowledge of environmental quality and protection-related policies, strategies, and national priorities within government structures. A thorough understanding of air quality matters, including the critical elements of air quality management, is essential for this position.
